Welcome YPIE Nashville

YPIE Nashville is a community of students passionate about science on the path to success in college and beyond.
This four-year program is designed for 9th-grade students from Hunters Lane, McGavock, and Stratford High Schools who are curious about science, research, and preparing for college.
Throughout high school, students will receive ongoing support, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences to build confidence in scientific thinking and develop skills that will help them in college and future careers.
Funded by Regeneron’s Together for Change initiative, this program is committed to supporting students from all backgrounds in exploring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. You don’t need to be a top science student or have any prior experience—just an interest in learning and growing over the next four years!
As a YPIE Nashville Science Research Scholar, you will:
  • Learn how to ask questions, explore ideas, and think like a scientist.
  • Work with mentors and professionals on real-world science projects.
  • Get help with college preparation, including applications and scholarships.
  • Participate in field trips, summer programs, and hands-on experiences.
  • Become part of a supportive community that will be with you throughout high school.
