For over a century, NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester (formerly Lawrence Hospital) has been a pillar of health care for residents of Westchester County and the Bronx. Established in 1909 and located in Bronxville, it offers access to primary care physicians and specialists from ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester.

NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester is deeply committed to the communities it serves and to supporting the area’s health and wellness needs. By collaborating with community-based organizations, schools, chambers of commerce, and faith-based organizations, the hospital aims to address social determinants of health through a wide range of innovative and targeted programs. One such program is NewYork-Presbyterian’s Community Fund, which provides grants to organizations in Westchester County to help residents facing social isolation, homelessness, and unemployment.
 
Under the leadership of Paul Dunphey, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester and President of NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian is continuing to expand its footprint. In 2025, NewYork-Presbyterian will open a state-of-the-art multi-specialty ambulatory care center in White Plains. This center will provide world-class care from ColumbiaDoctors’ clinicians, ensuring patients across Westchester County have access to the best possible healthcare.

Since 2021, New York-Presbyterian Westchester has been a strong supporter of YPIE students. They have hosted several career workshops and in-person tours and inspired YPIE students to pursue exciting careers in healthcare.
