Research shows that college students who participate in career support-related activities (eg., internships, college coaching) are more likely to secure a “strong job” after graduation – one that requires a Bachelor’s degree and includes some combination of promotion pathway, employee benefits, and a market competitive salary.*
To ensure our college students land high quality jobs, YPIE recently introduced its Career Connections program, building on our demonstrated impact on student readiness for, access to, and persistence in college. Leveraging our relationships with students, corporate partnerships, and loyal volunteers, this program will give YPIE college students the opportunity to develop their professional skills, secure internships, and access their first jobs out of college.
The YPIE Career Connections program offers a comprehensive pathway to professional success and guides college students through every step of their career journey.
Elements of the program include:
Internship and job application assistance
Career exploration and learning series workshops
Resume and cover letter assistance
Interviewing skills
Career coaching
Internship and job placement
We look forward to building our YPIE Professional Network by recruiting new volunteers to assist with matching YPIE students with internships and jobs within their organizations, leading “Career Clubs,” and speaking at YPIE Career Week events. If you are interested, learn more here.
Thank you for empowering YPIE college students to achieve their career goals.
